Creative Performance
Each students set their own goal, and worked on a creation of video works. We will present how we devised our works such as camera works and the way of expression. 児童生徒それぞれが目標を定め、動画作品の創作に１から取り組みました。カメラワークや表現方法など、研究した成果を生かし、工夫をこらした作品と制作過程を発表します。
The Rosaku Allotment
Through this Rosaku project, the students learned and planned how to grow a lot of types of vegetables. They faced a lot of problems such as climate, condition of the soil, pest control and other problems, they were able to learn research skills, thinking skills, and social skills. 生徒たちは汗を流しながら、労作において沢山の野菜を、どのように育てるのかの計画・研究を通して、栽培しました。屋外での天候や土の整地、害虫の駆除などの問題に直面しながらも、生徒は調査力・思考力・社会性を身につけることができました。
Voyage à la Francophonie
In this one year, we learned about French language and culture. The events intéressants we did in this Jiyukenkyu were Crepe Day, researching French words, food, fashion and tourism. If you visit our French Jiyukenkyu expo, you can live through the language and culture the way we have experienced it through. この1年間で、私たちはフランスの言語と文化について学びました。この自由研究では、クレープを作ったり、フランス 語の単語、食べ物、ファッション、観光地についての研究をしました。この自由研究の発表に来ていただければ、私たちが体験したように、興味深いフランスの言語と文化を楽しめます。
SDGs
In this Jiyukenkyu, students had an opportunity to explore the SDGs which is deeply related with their academic environment. Students researched the problems that relates to them, set the goal for their learning independently, and by following the exploration cycle, they accomplished their learning. 自由研究において、生徒はアカデミックな環境の中で、自分たちが情熱を注いでいるSDGsを探求する機会を与えられました。生徒たちは、自分の目標に関連する問題を調べ、学習目標を達成する方法を自ら計画し、MYPの探究サイクルに沿って、自主的に調査・計画・行動し、振り返りました。
Calligraphy
"Perseverance leads to great accomplishments". We have this mind as a motto, and through the work, we show our planning skill and perseverance. We want you to see how it is shown in our work. We will do exhibit and oral presentation with secondary students. 「愚公、山を移す」作品にたどりつくまでの工程に、計画性・忍耐力が含まれています。作品の中にそれが表れているでしょうか。作品展示・口述発表ともSecondaryと同時に行います。
Music
The students have been working on music as a theme in their free research, researching and analyzing performance techniques and musical compositions. They will present the results of their research in a slide presentation and a practical individual presentation. Some of the students are playing instruments for the first time! Please look forward to it! 自由研究の中で音楽をテーマとして設定し、研究し演奏技法、楽曲分析に取り組んできました。その成果を各自、スライド・実技個人発表を行います。初めての楽器に挑戦している生徒もいます！1年間かけて練習に励んできました。お楽しみに！
Pi-rates(Mathematics)
IB Math Enthusiasts (aka Pirates) is an independent study for students who want to participate in a variety of activities that help them explore math outside the classroom. Over the past year, students have developed their critical thinking and problem-solving skills by challenging themselves with interesting math problems ranging from logic puzzles to complex writing problems. They have also used the MYP inquiry cycle to work on projects that focus on how math can be applied in different situations. IB 数学愛好家 (別名パイレーツ) は、教室の外で数学を探求するのに役立つさまざまなアクティビティに参加したい生徒のための自主学習です。過去 1 年間、生徒は論理パズルから複雑な文章問題まで、興味深い数学の問題に挑戦することで、批判的思考力と問題解決能力を養ってきました。また、MYP の探究サイクルを使用して、さまざまな状況で数学がどのように適用されるかに焦点を当てたプロジェクトにも取り組んできました。
Data Science
Data science is a field of study that seeks to gain useful knowledge from data. It uses statistics, data analysis, and other techniques to extract useful information from data for science, society, and business. Students form hypotheses about their areas of interest and try to find the validity of their hypotheses by accumulating data. データサイエンスとは、データを元にして有益な知を得ようとする学問分野のことです。統計学、データ分析などの手法を用いて、データから科学や社会、ビジネスなどに役立つ情報を引き出します。 児童生徒は自分の興味のある分野についての仮説を立て、データを積み重ねることでその仮説の正当性を探し出そうとしています。
ART
As a class, we engaged in several practices and experiments, as well as created artwork using our own ideas and goals. Students used a variety of media, materials, and styles to create and explore projects and ideas. As the saying goes, “the journey is as important as the destination,” and in the process, they developed skills and determination that culminated in a final project piece. クラスとしていくつかの実践や実験に取り組み、また自分自身のアイデアや目標を使って作品を制作しました。生徒たちは様々なメディア、素材、スタイルを使って、プロジェクトやアイデアを創造し、探求を重ねました。「旅は目的地と同じくらい重要である」と言われるように、その過程で技術や決断力を身につけ、最終的なプロジェクト作品へと結実させました。
Science
The students began a project that exemplifies the “Approaches to Learning” that is part of the IB MYP. Through this, students were able to demonstrate critical and creative thinking, information literacy, and organizational skills. The project emphasizes hands-on experimentation and critical analysis, and students are preparing for their presentations. 生徒たちはIB MYPの一環である「学習へのアプローチ」の模範となるプロジェクトを始めました。これを通して、生徒たちは批判的・創造的思考、情報リテラシー、組織的スキルを実証することができました。このプロジェクトは、実践的な実験と批判的分析を重視し、生徒たちは発表の準備を進めています。
Japanese
Culture &Language
Japanese Culture & Language is a free study program to deepen understanding of Japanese culture and language through a variety of experiences. 2024 included koinobori art with stamps, willow trees, hot-summer greeting, easy Japanese and disaster prevention, creative kanji, Japanese sweets made with clay, Chinese and Japanese tea, and making shimenawa decorations. At times, they worked together with Chinese Language & Culture to learn and compare cultures. Today, we will present the results of these activities. 日本文化と言語は、様々な体験を通して日本文化や言葉の理解を深める自由研究です。2024年は、ハンコの鯉のぼりアート、川柳、暑中見舞い、やさしい日本語と防災、創作漢字、粘土で和菓子、中国茶と日本茶、しめ縄飾り製作などを行いました。時には、Chinese Language & Cultureと一緒に活動し文化を学んだり比べたりしました。本日は、その成果を発表します。
Chinese
Culture & Language
Students learned Chinese through textbook exercises, videos, and songs, and gained a deeper understanding of Chinese culture through these activities. For example, they made Chinese painting masks and Chinese patterned moon cakes (paper mache) for the Mid-Autumn Festival. We were also able to see and drink Chinese and Japanese tea ceremonies. The presentation is based on their own activities and interests in Chinese culture. 生徒は教科書の練習問題、ビデオや歌を通して中国語を学び、これらの活動を通して中国文化をより深く理解することができました。例えば、中秋節にちなんで、中国画のお面や中国模様の月餅（紙粘土）などを作りました。また中国茶と日本茶の作法を見ることができて、飲むこともできました。自らの活動や興味のある中国文化に基づいたプレゼンテーションを行います。
MUN
Students learned about the procedure of UN committees. they chose countries to represent and researched facts about those countries so that they understood who they were representing. students chose the topic of fast fashion to research and debate. They then researched the political and economic policies of their countries relevant to the topic. Students developed position papers for their respective countries and then prepared opening speeches. In committee, delegates proposed and debated possible solutions to the negative effects of fast fashion. They argued for their proposals and attempted to gain a majority of support. in addition, students joined a junior MUN conference where they worked with students from other schools to find solutions to global issues. 生徒たちは、国連委員会の手続きについて学びました。生徒たちは代表となる国を選び、その国についての事実を調べ、自分たちが誰を代表しているのかを理解しました。そして、そのトピックに関連する自国の政治・経済政策を調べた。生徒たちはそれぞれの国のポジションペーパーを作成し、開会スピーチを準備した。委員会では、代表団がファストファッションの悪影響に対する解決策を提案し、議論した。さらに、生徒たちはジュニアMUN会議にも参加し、他校の生徒と協力して世界的な問題の解決策を探った。
Photography
This year, we learnt the basic rules of Photography and Videography; how to frame our subject for the maximum impact, how the different types of shots can craft a visual narrative, how to make a short movie, and much more! 今年、私たちは写真とビデオ撮影の基本的なルールを学んだ。被写体に最大のインパクトを与えるフレーミングの方法、さまざまなタイプのショットで視覚的な物語を作る方法、ショートムービーの作り方などなど！
Hand Craft
Hand crafts students have been working on their own research themes for the past year, and have been creating their own works of art with ingenuity. They also experienced growing indigo plants, dyeing them, and harvesting the seeds. On the day of the exhibition, we will display their works and present slides of their research. Please come and see them. Hand craftは、1年間自分の研究テーマに沿って、工夫しながら作品制作に取り組んできました。また、皆で藍を栽培し、藍の染色や、種の収穫も経験しました。学園展当日は、作品展示と研究内容のスライドの発表を行います。ぜひ見に来てください。
